Refractive Mgmt/Intervention

The manufacturer of the Raindrop Near Vision Inlay has gone out of business, according to an announcement on the company’s website.

ReVision Optics’ clear hydrogel inlay was FDA-approved for the treatment of emmetropic presbyopia in 2016.

“ReVision Optics made great strides to build a market for the surgical correction of presbyopia,” the company stated. “But respectful of our best efforts, it is with regret that we have to close our doors.”

The company halted distribution of the inlay on January 30, 2018 and stopped honoring the Raindrop Rebate on that date.

Questions should be directed to ReVision’s hotline, 1-866-934-6592, which will be staffed through April 30, 2018.
